The Digital Water Level Indicator is a hard-wired digital electronic device that accurately displays the water level in a rainwater tank from 0 to 100% using a radio frequency cable sensor that hangs in any open plastic or concrete tank.

With the calibration function the system is coordinated to the different tank heights. The fill level in the tank is shown in 1% steps by a 3-digit LCD-display. The sensor electronics work with 12 volts of low current and is reverse polarity protected; it is attached to the main device with a 65 foot data cable. As soon as the calibration and the assembly are completed no further setting up is necessary. The reference value for a 100% fill level remains stored in the case of a power failure.
The display must be mounted in a dry location within 150 feet of the tank and wired to a control box mounted in the tank manway. The sensor measures tanks with up to 9 feet of water. Since the system is powered using a plug-in 24 volt transformer, an electrician is not necessary for safe installation. Due to the possibility of radio-frequency interference, this device is not recommended for use in steel tanks or tight spaces.
